Why Us

My name is Mylene and I am the owner of Costumes and Crayons. I started out the daycare in 2018 in my home and in 2021 I decided to expand due to the childcare crisis to help the community. I am a mother to
two boys Levi and Micaiah, and a wife to my husband Jamie. You may see me at the daycare from time to time to check in or substitute if someone is away. I am also a nurse and work full time when I am not needed in our center. I am very appreciative
of all our families we have in our center and hope to continue to create positive relationships with many more!

My name is Gursimrat Kaur and I am an Early Childhood Educator with my Infant/toddler, Special needs certificate. I graduated from Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto. I have always had a strong passion in leading children to develop their skills through creatively and risky play. I knew from a young age that working with children was my life's passion and have been pursuing it since I have been in high school. My motto when working with children is to provide a safe, educational and nurturing environment where the children thrive and grow everyday. I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know the children!

My name is Ashlee, and some of the children may remember me from way back in February 2023 when I did my first practicum here at Costumes and Crayons. I am studying to become a full ECE here at CNC, and my love for teaching young children has been in my heart since I was about six years old. When my younger sister was born, I fell in love with teaching her new things everyday. I started to help teach dance to young children ages 2-4 when I was just sixteen and I enjoyed being with my students so much, I knew this was something I wanted to keep studying. When I'm not at Costumes and Crayons I'm usually finding new things to learn. I love teaching these new things to your children. I admire the creativity, strong imaginations, respect, and kindness the children have, making me want to return. I am thankful to be a part of the team, and I'm excited what adventures will arise in my time here at Costumes
and Crayons.

Hi I’m Jasleen. I graduated from Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology, Toronto with my Early Childhood Educator diploma. I have my Infant/Toddler and Special Needs certificate as well. I have experience working with children of all age groups and am excited to be part of this amazing team. I love working with children and facilitating fun and educational activities for them to play and learn. I look forward to knowing you all! 

My name is Shivani, and I am from India. I moved to Prince

George with my family in 2019. I am thankful to the community for accepting us with warm hearts. As a mother of a teenage son, I know the importance of childcare. I am excited to have the opportunity to support, encourage and

help these children develop into incredible individuals. I love children and am happy spending time with them. I am blessed to have this wonderful opportunity to work with these amazing families.
